President Yudhoyono will meet the Union leaders

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) is scheduled to meet the union leaders in the President’s office in Jakarta this afternoon, Monday (29/04/2013).

The meeting between Yudhoyono and the union leadership is done ahead of International Labor Day or May Day on May 1, 2013.

A number of elements of the workers will perform a demonstration that will coincide with May Day.

One of them is the Confederation of Trade Union Congress Alliance (KASBI) Indonesia, that will hold a press conference regarding the preparation and action plan will be scheduled on May Day.

Intiwhiz continues to build more hotels

PT Intiwhiz International aggressively expands its operations in the hotel business. The company will build hotels whose location are spread out among others in Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Palembang, Pekanbaru, Malang, Surabaya, Makassar, Palangkaraya, and Manado.

President and Chief Operating Officer Intiwhiz Moedjianto Soesilo Tjahjono said the company continues to explore business development in several cities in Indonesia.

Indonesia will become the biggest car market in Southeast Asia

Automotive analyst, Jessada Thongpak predicted Indonesia would become the largest car market in Southeast Asia in 2014.

The estimate refers to the data in the country’s car market grew by 25% to a record 1.1 million through the sale of units in 2012.

With the large number of vehicles, it has created a traffic jam in Jakarta every day and increase air pollution.

Entrepreneurs choose machines than men due to increasing UMP

Lion Air will open aircraft maintenance center in Batam

Lion Air will open an aircraft maintenance center in Batam in mid-year. The workshop aircraft would be used to treat 100 aircraft owned by the company, as well as other airlines both locally and internationally, according to the Managing Director of Lion Air, Rusdi Kirana.

The facility will be built on an area of 16 hectares. "However, 4 hectares would be finished first and will be able to operate in mid-2013," said Rusdi in Toulouse, France, on Tuesday (3/19/2013).

Lion Air expands into Asia Pacific Market

Lion Air has ordered 234 Airbus aircraft. With the new aircraft, Lion Air will expand its operations into two countries in the Asia Pacific region next year.

"Our target is the Asia Pacific region. The choice of these countries has not been determined. But in 2014, we are targeting expansion in the two countries," said President Director of Lion Air, Rusdi Kirana at the Hotel Sofitel, Paris, France, on Monday (18/3/2013 ).

The expansion plan is supported by the arrival of six Airbus aircraft in July 2014. The plane was part of 234 aircraft worth U.S. $ 24 billion were purchased by Lion Air. The Airbus aircraft will be shipped from July 2014 to 2026. [Read more...]
