PT Intiwhiz International aggressively expands its operations in the hotel business. The company will build hotels whose location are spread out among others in Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Palembang, Pekanbaru, Malang, Surabaya, Makassar, Palangkaraya, and Manado.

President and Chief Operating Officer Intiwhiz Moedjianto Soesilo Tjahjono said the company continues to explore business development in several cities in Indonesia.

The company will build 32 hotels in various locations until 2014. The developments of the construction of some hotels are already done, but others are still at the stage of designing and licensing process.

“We have plans to open four new hotels for this year. Two hotels in Jakarta, Balikpapan, and Nusa Dua Bali,” said Moedjianto.

He added that the company will target approximately 3,500 hotel rooms in various cities until 2015, and could be more than 5,000 rooms to the end of 2017.

Moedjianto Soesilo Tjahjono said they were optimistic the construction of the hotels can be on time and began operations in the second quarter of 2013.

Whiz Cikini hotel is the second hotel to operate in Jakarta, after the Grand Whiz Hotel in Kelapa Gading in late 2012.

“We believe that the one in Cikini would be ready in July 2013. We believe also that Whiz Hotel Cikini becoming the favorite choice of many people,” he said.

The hotel consists of 8 floors, a basement for parking area and 135 rooms consisting of two specific types of standard and deluxe. The hotel is easily accessible and close to the center of government and business.
